Thanks, MHG for highlighting my responses. They are important messages, if I don't say so myself.

@tjttzcspplt You don't need god to help yourself, to heal, or to feel better.
Praying to god doesn't make rape, battery, or homelessness go away, become NOT devastating to the human psyche, or make it stop screwing people over.
When I STOPPED being an xtain I ended up being much better off.

How can any thinking person not believe in some sort of God? Secularism is a religion, and they are pushing it. That wouldn't be a problem if it didn't dehumanize people who are deemed less "worthy" by virtue of their afflictions, or need of care, and the extermination of inconvenient and unwanted persons. There isn't room in their utpoic vision for needy people. A worldview needs to address all the questions of life. It isn't good enough to ignore the question of how we got here, and why.

@tjttzcspplt
That's just the thing. Not all of us believe in God/Gods of any sort, so why would we try to fill a void with it? I was at my worst when I thought there was a God. There is nothing "wrong" with being a secularist unless you are religious, and I don't think its being pushed either. If it is, its only because we are pushing back.. I could go on and on about it but five hundred characters just isn't adequate.

Sorry to hear that, but, I meant they are miserable b/c they try to help themselves and don't look to God to help them. That is what is wrong with this secular humanistic philosophy being pushed, today. As far as your problems, go, I hope you can find your way. You have a tough row to hoe, that's for sure.

I've been miserable, and I admit it, but I'm not always. I take tools I have and make my situation better. My father died, and my mother admitted she loved alcohol more than me, so I've been on my own since I was sixteen. I had to be self centered. I took care of my younger brother though, that means something. I'm only self centered when I need to be, and I wouldn't let my child die like that. *sigh* Such are the troubles of having BPD and a habit of cognitive dissonance; misunderstanding.

We are a communal people, and need each other for survival, that's why. I deal with a self-centered mother, taking care of her kid b/c her "man" likes to party with her. The child is autistic, and already smothered one baby to death. She got up to eat cereal before she even realized the kid was dead. If I saw that, I'd be autistic, too. This is the kind of people your type of thinking brings about.. People like you are miserable, but too much in denial to admit it. It's human nature.

Contraception is sin. It is saying, "screw you, God,; I know better than you". MHG has it wrong. Sex isn't just for procreation. It just has to accept that it sometimes results in a new human being. We can send men into space, but we can't figure out how to naturally avoid conception? Guess wer're not as all-powerful as we say we are.
