Thanks for checking in.
A couple of points-
"War on Drugs"- any constitutional basis for tax money (wealth redistribution) spent on this big government program?
Where do you draw the line?
Freedom means peaceable, responsible adult choices are left to individuals to make.
Legalizing marijuana means legalizing marijuana use- not abuse.

The video is about the Port Angeles, WA area.
The US Border Patrol set up suspicionless, internal checkpoints on the Olympic Peninsula in 2008- stopping and questioning people who had done nothing wrong and were not crossing the border.
The checkpoints have ended- maybe due to well-informed citizens and local protests.
The US Border Patrol now appears to be involved in general law enforcement work in the Port Angeles area- not sure how that relates to Homeland Security funding?

Not pretending to be part of the Tea Party- just reaching for an honest understanding of what the Tea Party believes in.

It is true that the teabaggers often sound like they're talking about the planet Remulak, but I think that getting Dan Aykroyd to break out the Beldar makeup and pretend to be one of them is a cheap shot, even for satire.

The federal government handed down another Totalitarian mandate in telling us that our concealed carry permit is void on local National Parks lands (soon to be changed)
The federal government is no lover of liberty.
How about you Tea party?

Hey Tea Party-
Since we are working so hard to spread freedom across the globe, would it be OK for a responsible, 20 year old adult to enjoy a cold beer here in the USA?
It might enhance federal credibility/believability in terms of individual responsibility, the concept that wars fought overseas are to protect and defend American freedom, etc.
My "responsible, 20 year old adult" example is meant to apply to all adults- 18 and up -whether they are in the US Armed Forces or not. |
